The legislator representing Ikorodu constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade (SOB), says the provision of dividends of democracy to the people of the area remains the bedrock of his stewardship.
Speaking at the presentation of items which included sewing machines, industrial fans, hair dryers, clippers, generators, GSM handsets and recharge cards as well as foodstuffs to party executives and members, Agunbiade noted that one of his cardinal principles has been the provision of basic necessities of life to the people.
SOB stated that since 2007, he has been attending plenary and parliamentary sessions of the House regularly and religiously and has played key roles in debates on bills and other topical issues on the floor of the House of Assembly. He added that he has also pioneered and moved motions which have culminated in the House resolutions and governmental action and policies, among which are: construction of pedestrian bridge at Ikosi-Ketu junction of the Lagos-Ibadan Express road, rehabilitation of Mile 12/Ikorodu road, call for special squad to curtail armed robbery attacks in Ikorodu and environs, rehabilitating the bad federal roads in the state, call for the revival of the power sector in the country and call for stay of proposed demolition action on the Odo Nla community in Ikorodu among many others.

“I have also put so much focus on the provision of social amenities and this cuts across the health sector where I have secured free medical treatment for 12 members of the constituency with very serious health matters, security matters, where I have organised various forums which provided useful suggestions on security matters in Ikorodu.
“On employment, I have facilitated the employment of 61 people into both government and private sectors, and on youth and women empowerment, I have been able to assist a number of youths with empowerment kits supplied by the office of Special Assistant to the Governor on Legislative and Power Bureau.
