The police at Ilemba Hausa Division have arrested three suspected armed robbers at Bony busÂ stop in Lagos, Nigeria following a tip off from members of the public.
The suspects, Kingsley Nnamani, Ikechukwu Philips and Ejike Igwe were seen around Ilemba busÂ stop and their movement, according to a Crime Watch source, was suspicious which made theÂ people in the area inform police at Ilemba Hausa Division.
The Divisional Police Officer in charge was said to have moblised his anti-robbery team to theÂ scene and promptly arrested the suspects.
Crime Watch gathered that when the police searched them, one revolver and three rounds of liveÂ ammunition were recovered from them. The suspects were said to have confessed that they wereÂ robbers.
They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, YabaÂ for further investigation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Frank Mba, a superintendent of police, commendedÂ the public for being vigilant and to always report suspicious movement in their area to theÂ police.
