Nigeria At 50: 10,000 Athletes For Half Marathon

More than 10,000 participants will participate in the Nigeria At 50 International  Half-Marathon Race scheduled for Abuja on 30 October, 2010.

The eventâ€s lead organiser, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, while disclosing this yesterday in Abuja,  said the raceâ€s torch would tour the countryâ€s six geo-political zonal capitals very soon.

“We are expecting more than 10,000 participants from Nigeria and many countries abroad. In  order to sensitise Nigerians on the event, the race torch will begin its tour of the six  geo-political zonal capitals on 18 September,” he said.
