The chairman, Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Prince Bisi Yusuf has enjoined Nigerians, especially Muslims to maintain the spirit of Ramadan.
In his Ed-el-Fitri message, the local government boss said if the spirit of Ramadan is maintained in Nigeria, there would be peace, love and harmony cutting across religious and ethnical barriers.
Says Prince Yusuf: “During Ramadan, people deprive themselves of so many things and extend the spirit of sharing to their neighbours. It is also a period that people run away from vices.
“But immediately after the one month holy Ramadan, some people will stop extending to their neighbours, while other will return to their bad vices which includes wickedness. It should not be so,†the Ayobo-Ipaja council boss counselled.
He said that the Holy Koran preached all round goodness and not a limited one for certain period, using the occasion to extend his Ed-el-Fitri wishes to all Nigerians, especially people in his local government.
Prince Yusuf used the occasion to plead with people of Ayobo Ipaja to be a bit more patient and tolerant, as government would soon find solution to the deplorable Ayobo-Ipaja road.
