Honourable Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun, Chairman, Lagos Island Local Government Area, Lagos Nigeria, has promised to upgrade and improve the standard of all markets within the area council.
He made the promise during a familiarization tour of all the markets in the local government area recently.
Addressing the traders, the chairman assured them of consistent cooperation by the local council and urge them to continue paying their dues and levies in order to enable the government provide them with basic amenity in the city of Lagos.
“I want to assure you all of our unfailing cooperation with all markets and traders in this local government but at the same time, I want to urge you to continue paying your taxes, levies and dues to enable the government to provide the needed basic amenities in the local government and the state in general,” the council boss stated.
He also called on all residents of the state to be part of the mega city project being championed by the state government.
