Brothers Remanded In Prison

Two brothers, Jamiu Alli 25, and Kola Alli 24 have been charged with felony and threat to  life before Ogudu Magistrate’s court in Lagos, Nigeria. The court ordered that they should  be remanded in prison custody.

Police alleged that they conspired to commit felony on the 26 August, 2010 at 46, Ajibola  Crescent, Alapere, Ketu, Lagos. The offence, police said is punishable under section16 of  the Criminal Code cap 17 Vol.11 Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

They were also alleged to have on the same day time and place threatened the life of one  Folashade Odudura by threatening to kill her during a phone call.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against them.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. Aje Afuwa admitted them to bail in the sum of N20,000 with  two responsible sureties in the like sum.

The matter has been adjourned till 6 October, 2010 for mention.

But because they could not fulfill the bail condition in good time, court ordered that they  be remanded in Kirikiri prison, Apapa, Lagos.
