Muslims have been advised to continue the good deeds and imbibe the teachings of the month of Ramadan.
The traditional ruler of Olowora town in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos State, South West, Nigeria, Chief Sulaimon Ogungbeye gave the admonition at this year’s eid-el-fitri prayer at Olowora praying round.
According to him, “all what Ramadan has taught us, they should continue to observe it so as to continue to receive Allah’s blessing,†he charged.
Chief Sulaimon urged Muslims not to forget the teachings of the blessed month and lived by its teachings, even after it has left us.
He said Ramadan is a special month when all sins are forgiven and blessings increase.
“Obviously this month of Ramadan has established itself with us as a praise raiser in that we obtain a lot of grace and gifts from friends and well wishers during this time,†he said.
He urged Muslims to desist from any form of immoral acts and live by the teachings of the Ramadan.
“All the indulgences in habits like drinking excessively, adultery, fighting, keeping malice, back-biting, stealing, fraudulent practices which you have neglected or rejected during the month of Ramadan, you must make sure you don’t go back to them again,†he said.
