The Former Assistant Coach of the Super Falcons, Rolanson Odeh, has tipped Flamingoes of  Nigeria and Germany to play in the final of this year’s FIFA U-17 Women World Cup, currently  holding in Trinidad & Tobago

Nigeria and Germany finished on top of their Groups A and B respectively to book their  places in the quarter finals which begin tomorrow.

Odeh, who was the assistant coach of Falconet at the  FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in 2004 and  2006, told P.M.Sports that he is confident Nigeria will go places in the World Championship  if the ladies can continue with the way they played their three group matches.

“Our ladies are fully prepared for this championship. I was not surprised about their  performances in their previous three matches.  The ladies are hungry for success and now  that they are in the quarter final, the team need to be motivated to go far in the  tournament,” he said.

The gaffer, who was part of the technical crew that led the Super Falcons to win gold medal  at the 2007 All Africa Games in Algeria, expressed delight over the performances of  Flamingoes, saying that no country can stop them from reaching the final.

He said the team are balanced in all departments, but noted that they still need to improve  if they want to win the trophy.

“I don’t think we have much problems in the team. The attackers are good in front of goal,  though they need to take their chances. The team’s defence is solid and the midfield is  fortified, so I think we have a balance team that can take their opponents to the cleaners,”  he said.

Asked which country could give Nigeria a tough game in the tournament, the former coach of  Anambra United said Germany will prove stubborn, but predicted that Nigeria and Germany may  meet in the final to determine the champions.
