As part of their corporate social responsibility gesture, Sterling Bank Plc, UNIC Insurance Plc, CFAO and Costain Plc, recently donated materials and cash to Iponri Division of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
Speaking on the donation, Rotarian Bankole Akibu, the PCRC Chairman, said it was first of its kind and called for a good working relation with the bank, companies and policemen within the division.
Mrs. Abimbola Sowemimo, Head, Brand Management and Communication; Mr. Olubode Dada, Chief Security Officer; Mr. Agetu Clement and Mr. Tope Bello, all of Sterling Bank, told the committee members that the gesture was in line with the company’s policy to assist communities in any area of endeavour.
Dada, the CSO, said the bank enjoys good working relationship with the Nigerian Police, especially at the state level and commend Iponri Division for its good job in maintaining peace within the community.
Items donated include two split air conditioners, building materials worth millions of naira and cash.
Also in attendance during the presentation were, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr. Abraham Oyeniyi (SP); Alhaji Jinadu Mustpha, Welfare Officer; M. Egege, General Sectary; Prince Sunny Yemi Adenowo, Chairman, Area C PCRC; Alhaji Balogun and other officers from Iponri Police Station.
