In order to have a good outing in Unity Cup, God’s Favour Football Academy of Amuwo Odofin have concluded plans to play a friendly match against Amuwo Odofin All Stars on Saturday at the Unity Primary School.
Team Manager of the club, Robinson Emuoma, is confident that his team are in good shape for the championship, but want to use the friendly match to select the players that will make the final list ahead of the three-week tourney.
‘We are going to play another friendly match against the Golden Grassroots FC on Tuesday to fortify our team ahead of the Unity Cup,’ he said.
According to him, anything short of winning the cup will be a disappointment to their fans.
He, therefore, urged his players to give their best during the friendly matches, saying that only the best will be considered for the team’s final list
The Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Grassroots Sports Initiative, Victor Ogboru, told Grassroot Soccer Guide that 16 clubs have confirmed their readiness to take part in the championship slated for 1 October at the Community Secondary School, Amuwo-Odofin.
