A commuter bus driver, Tajudeen Durodola, driving a Faragon bus with registration number LAGOS XX 488 BDG, has appealed to an unidentified sergeant in the Nigerian Army who drives a metalic ash coloured Passat wagon car with registration number LAGOS HW 328 EKY, to return his bus.
The vehicle was seized from him at Obalende bus stop last week Thursday night over a minor scratch on the bumper of his car.
Narrating his ordeal to P.M.NEWS, Tajudeen said he was reversing his bus to enter Ajegunle park at Obalende bus stop when the soldier in full uniform with the rank of a sergeant, but whose identity could not be asceertained because it was dark, hit his car bumper on the front tyre of his bus.
“Before I knew it, the soldier alighted from his car with a cutlass to attack me, but I quickly jumped out through the other door and escaped to safety while he was still harrassing people, asking them where I was. I quickly ran to nearby Dodan Barracks to report the incident at the Military Police unit.
“Before I came back to the scene of incident with a military police officer, my colleagues told me he had driven my vehicle away with the help of some soldier colleagues and all efforts to trace the vehicle in all the military and police formations around Lagos Island proved abrotive till date.
“I am now appealing to military authorities to prevail on the soldier to release my bus for the sake of my children,†he pleaded, pledging to repair any damages on the soldierâ€
