Air Nigeria has disclosed that it is collaborating with the African Union Congress, AUC, in  promoting peace in Africa and creating awareness for 21 September known as the Peace Day on  the continent.

The airline said it is supporting the African Peace Day by creating awareness at airports  across its route network and making onboard announcements in all flights in the week leading  to the event. Air Nigeria will also be providing the travel needs of some of the delegates.

African Heads of State and Government had in 2009 declared 2010 as the Year of Peace and  Security, setting aside 21 September as the Peace Day to push for non-violence across the  continent. A cease-fire is expected to be observed in all conflict zones on that day.
