Former Chairman of Nigeria Football Association, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima wants an immediate resolution of the crisis rocking Nigerian sports.
All is not well with Nigerian sports lately with Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, still battling with its disputed election, while the Nigeria Olympic Committee, NOC, had its recent elections cancelled by the International Olympic Committee, IOC.
Galadima said he was not happy with the latest development, especially in the NOC.
According to him, “it is high time the government, through the National Sports Commission, NSC, finds a lasting solution to the problem in NOC. There was an election which the IOC has ignored. I’m also not happy with what is happening at the NFF, where a similar problem is ridiculing the image of the country and FIFA is watching.â€
“I think the government has a big role to play to ensure that this crises are resolved now before things get out of hand,†said Galadima
Meanwhile, Effiong Johnson, a member of the newly-elected board of the NFF swept away by a Lagos High Court on 6 September wants Nigerians to hold the Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Chief Patrick Ekeji responsible for the present impasse in the federation.
