Fans of the AGN, known as Nollywood in Nigeria,  went into wild jubilation, singing and  chanting, following their equaliser against The News/P. M. News.

Both teams gave good account of themselves in the evenly contested encounter watched by a  large crowd.

The pulsating encounter could not produce the expected goals in the first half as AGN  missed several scoring chances which they could have converted into goal before the half  time ended.

The News/ PM News got a penalty in the early part of the second half and was quickly  converted by goalkeeper, Kasali Akinwale.

The efforts of the AGN paid off few minutes to the end of the encounter when Sunny  Nwachukwu converted a penalty after being fouled in the six yards box to end the match in  one goal apiece.

Some members of the Nollywood stars who watched the match under pressure told P.M. Sports  that they were happy with the result.

One of the actors, Paul Obazele, said the game was tough but thanked God that the  encounter ended in a draw.

“I was happy that we did not lose the match. Both teams played well, I think we need to  call for a rematch to determine the real winner,” he said.

Coach of AGN, Emeka Rolas, blamed his team  for not converting their chances in the early  first half. He said his team outplayed their media opponents but failed to score.

“Both teams played good football but it’s unfortunate that we did not convert our  chances. We dominated the first half but my players  lacked the ability to score. Anyway,  I need to commend my team for fighting back to get the equaliser,” he said
