Alhaji Mohammed Goni, a former governor of Borno, has advised Nigerians to vote credible leaders who will contribute positively to national development.
Goni gave the advice in Maiduguri on Tuesday when the executives of National Voter Forum, led by Dr Khalifa Dikwa, paid him a courtesy visit.
He said the people should beware of money bags that use money to deceive the electorate in order to loot government’s treasury.
The former governor called on the people of the state to come out en masse and participate in the voter registration to ensure the success of 2011 elections.
Earlier, Dikwa said that the essence of their visit was to intimate him to the presence of the forum in Borno.
According to him, the organisation will sensitise the people of the state on the need to register and be in a position to vote.
