The Nigerian Embassy in France under Ambassador Gordon Harry Bristol is commemorating the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of the nation with a week-long celebration.
The programme will commence with a Jumaat service on Friday 24 September 2010, while the church service will hold on Sunday 26 September, 2010.
A special anniversary lecture by Prof. Philip Emeagwali will be delivered on 28 September 2010.
Ambassador A. Azikwe will chair the lecture titled: Nigeria Then, Now and Forever. The popular Swage Dance troupe has been hired to entertain guests after the lecture.
According to Ambassador Bristol, a special photo exhibition by revered and award winning photo journalist Sunmi Smart Cole comes up on 28 and 29 September.
The event will be concluded with a high profile diplomatic reception on 1 October, 2010, while activities will be rounded off on 2 October, 2010 with a reception at the residence of Ambassador Gordon Bristol. The Governor of Benue State will be represented by his wife as special guest of honour.
