Cooper Test Tragedy: CAF Mourns Nigeria Refs
The Confederation of African Football, CAF has sent its condolences to the Nigerian football community, expressing great shock over the death of two referess who slumped during a FIFA Cooper Test in Abuja yesterday.
Two Nigerian referees; Oyetola Olatunde, a national league referee from Oyo State and Faloye Matthew Bankole, a Premier League referee from Ogun State slumped during the fitness test held at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
Following the shocking deaths of the refs, a concerned CAF immediately sent words to the secretariat of NFF to know what went wrong , and commiserated with Nigeria.
The Acting General Secretary of NFF Musa Amadu and Media Officer, Robinson Okosun, who confirmed the deaths said it was a tragedy to the country’s football.
