Former Vice-chancellor of the Lagos State University, LASU, Professor Folabi Olumide, has advised the Federal Government to evolve a new curriculum for medical students in the country.
He gave this advice while stressing that the world was fast changing in the medical field and only students who are attuned to the changes could excel in the profession.

The former vice-chancellor who said he helped in the establishment of some faculties and departments in the tertiary institution, also solicited for the continuation of the Primary Healthcare Programme (PHC) adding that this time, it should be made vigorous just as he advocated for an improved tertiary health care.
Prof. Olumide maintained that if the country would succeed in its effort to ensure good health for its citizens, medical practitioners must be made to undergo constant trainings. “If the staff are not trained, then we might be missing the target.
