Tragedy struck at New World Hotel Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, when a man seeking fun got drowned in the swimming pool in the hotel.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the deceased, who was identified as Afolabi Saheed, got to the hotel at about 9 p.m to catch some fun and he decided to swim in the hotel’s swimming pool where he got drowned.
Other fun seekers were said to have raised an alarm which attracted the hotel staff who made frantic efforts to revive him but it was too late.
The matter was reported at Ikeja Police Station and the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, dispatched his officers to the scene.
The corpse was removed to the public mortuary for autopsy while investigations continue.
Similarly, a trailer marked XA826KTU driven by Mr. Kasali Oladejo has crashed into a Toyota Coaster bus and a motorcycle marked QE145LKJ around Festac area, Lagos, Nigeria, killing Lucky Okogo the motorcycle rider on the spot.
The matter was reported at Festac Police Station and the Divisional Traffic Officer led some other traffic officers to the scene where the corpse was removed to the mortuary for autopsy while investigation into the matter is on going.
