The pastor of a white garment church in Lagos, Evang. Samuel Onikute, 56, Dele Samuel, 33 and Ogunmakinwa Fella, 60, have been docked for kidnapping at the Ogudu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos, Nigeria.
Police prosecutor, ASP Eyo Owari, in a three-count charge alleged that the three suspects conspired to commit felony to wit kidnapping when they unlawfully imprisoned one Emmanuel Udo.
The police added that the accused persons committed the offence along Kazeem Street, Alapere, Lagos. The offence, police said is contrary to and punishable under Sections 516, 364(2) and 320(1) of the Criminal Code, cap 77, vol.2 laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2004.
When the charge was read to them, they pleaded not guilty.
The trial magistrate admitted them to bail in the sum of N50,000 each with one surety in the like sum.
The case has been adjourned till 18 October, 2010 for trial.
