The management of Olive Microfinance Bank has debunked media reports that the licence of the bank was revoked by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, along with other banks recently.
The bank said that there was a mix up as its licence has not been revoked. According to a statement signed by the bank’s Deputy Managing Director, Eniola Agbesoyin,“the Board of Directors and the Management of Olive Microfinance Bank Limited have taken steps to address this mix up with relevant regulatory authorities.
“As a good corporate citizen, we trust in the ability and objective of the Central Bank of Nigeria in bringing sanity into the financial sector. We therefore implore all our stakeholders and customers to remain calm as their investments/deposits are safe with us and will be paid on demand.â€
Olive Microfinance Bank also called for understanding and continued patronage.
