The Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, James Abiodun Faleke, has got the blessing of elders of his party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), to contest next year’s House of Representatives election.
The elders, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, after a meeting last weekend, announced the decision to support Faleke.
Also, stakeholders in the constituency as well as the three ACN chairmen in Ojodu, Onigbongbo and Ikeja councils have endorsed the ambition of the Ojodu LCDA chief.
Alhaji Taoreed Ashiru, one of the elders and chairman, Ojodu LCDA branch of ACN, said Faleke received the elders’ blessing based of his commitment to the growth of the area.
He said Faleke’s performance as council chairman has indicated that he worthy of representing the constituency at the national level.
According to Alhaji Ashiru, Faleke is not only a high performer but also a committed party loyalist and transparent administrator.
