Bongos Ikwue Returns In 'Inale'

As a prelude to Bongos Ikwue’s long awaited album release, his company which is being run  by his daughter, Keke Bongos, (BIK Entertainment) is set to release an epic musical  movie, Inale. The flick features most of Bongos’ music.

Bongos Ikwue’s songs featured in the soon to be premiered movie include, Echeune, Cock  Crow at Dawn, Still Searching, You Can’t Hurry The Sunshine and Inale among others.

Bongos is coming out with his long-awaited album, The Way It Is, towards the end of this  year.

Dede Mabiaku featured as the King, a man of principles who values tradition above  personal feelings,  and Inalé’s father. Ini Edo plays Inalé’s wicked and jealous slave,  while Keppy Ekpenyong plays the Prince from a warring tribe who will play a very major  role in the fate of Inalé. Omawunmi of Idols West Africa also features in the movie  alongside Nollywood favourites like Nse Ikpe Etim and Mbong Amata of Amazing Grace.

The Jeta Amata directed movie also features British born movie star of Nigerian descent -   Caroline Chikezie as Inalé – the beautiful Otukpo Princess whose folklore this movie is  about. Caroline has acted in international movies such as Aeon Flux, Mistress of Spices  and lots more.  She also featured in As if, Footballers Wives and Supernatural – season  3.  Cast in the role of her lover in the movie is also American movie star, Hakeem Kae  Kazim of Hotel Rwanda, The Pirates of the Caribbean, and he also featured in 24- season7.

Inale, a musical movie, is a narrative set in Otukpo Benue State about a beautiful  princess of Idoma land who through selflessness unites her kingdom with a large warring  neighbouring kingdom by sacrificing her true love on the altar of obedience to custom and  tradition and duty to her people.

Inale will premier at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos on the 22 October and Abuja on the  28 of the same month.
