The Board of Trustees, staff and members of the Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria, DSFN, begins its awareness week from Saturday 2, October, to Sunday, 10 October.
The theme for this year’s programme is: “Just One Chromosome … Give Me a chance.”
The awareness week is part of the activities to mark Down Syndrome associations all over the world to raise awareness on the plight of people with Down Syndrome.
According to the National President, DSFN, Mrs. Rose Mordi, the week-long event will provide and create the requisite awareness about Down Syndrome generally and in the Nigerian society in particular.
“Our thrust, the Early Intervention programme, which helps to ameliorate the deplorable plight of people with Down Syndrome,” said Mordi.
