Aspiring youths across the continent, whose sight is set on being one of the shining movie stars in Africa’s increasingly competitive film industry have up till today, 30 September, to find their way to The Next Movie Star, the TV reality show that discovered Lydia Forson, Africa’s Best Actress 2010 at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2010.
According to Prince Olaiya, NMS’ spokesperson, “the close of online registration on our portal, www.nmsafrica.tv, on 30 September, would end the first phase of the continental search for this year’s edition.â€
Olaiya added that the next phase of the Show would be the audition between 6 and 10 October in seven cities across Nigeria and in capital cities of Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania and South Africa, while the third stage will be the training and grooming of housemates selected from the auditions, by top acts  from Africa’s movie industry.
P.M. Entertainment learnt that this is the fourth stage of The Next Movie Star, when 16 housemates would engage one another in fresh intrigues, wits, twists and acting skills for 45 days, after which a winner and two runners-up will emerge, share in the fame, pride and glory the event offers.
