MTN’s much-awaited MTN Life Enrichment Seminar, which would have featured American political strategist David Plouffe as lead speaker, has been postponed.
According to MTN Nigeria, the postponement of the seminar is due to circumstances beyond its control.
Plouffe was scheduled to arrive Nigeria on Sunday, 3 October, 2010.
Plouffe was scheduled to anchor the two-day international motivational seminar in Lagos on Monday, 4 October, 2010 at the ultra-modern Expo Hall, Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, and on Tuesday 5 October, 2010 at International Conference Centre (ICC), Peace Park, Garki, Abuja.
According to Funmi Omogbenigun, General Manager, Corporate Communications, MTN Nigeria, the company regrets the inconvenience the change of date must have caused Nigerians and assured that MTN remains committed to enriching the lives of its customers.
“MTN remains committed to introducing innovative platforms that will deliver added value to our customers,†she said.
Plouffe, author of The Audacity to Win, is widely acknowledged for churning out strategies most especially the grassroots strategy that resulted in the unimaginable in the history of American politics, giving rise to the election victory of Barack Obama in 2008.
The seminar was designed to focus on how to use the power of social media to connect a dispersed group of people and engage them as volunteers, consumers, employees or voters.
Other aspects of the seminar include topics on how innovative ways can be used to build brand loyalty and tactics and tools that can be used in an organisation as well as building a grassroots movement in the 21st Century whilst drawing insights and experiences from the Barack Obama 2008 campaign.
