Rug Thief Nabbed

A 35-year old man,Ahmed Kareem was on Wednesday nabbed at 2, Seidu Ajibowu Street, Off  Olowu Street, Ikeja, Lagos, while attempting to steal a rug.

Kareem claimed that he was invited to the area by a tenant who wanted to sell the rug to  him but he later confessed that he sneaked into the compound on his own.

He said “I fell into this temptation because of the financial situation I found myself.   I don’t steal, this is just unfortunate.”

According to one of the residents, Mr. Deola Obey, “a lot of things have been missing in  this house like our pots of soup, tables, chairs and other household materials.

The suspect was later handed over to the police.
