The Salvation Army church celebrated Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary by training some members of the Igbobi Corps. The training programme included Bible school education, music ministration and the use of musical instruments.
The training school principal of the church, Major Gabriel Adepoju said the church had always been an advocate of self-motivation and development. He added that Nigerian youth need to learn how to channel their strength towards something that is positive for themselves and the country. Adepoju further said that this is a time of sober reflection for the country. He believes that the country can still achieve all the great things that have eluded her in the past. “Nigeria is a great country with potentials but our leaders need to do more if we are to achieve success. It is the will of God that we continue to forge ahead as a nation but our politicians will do well to rebuild this country,†he said.
