Landlady, Son Docked For Illegal Ejection

A landlady, Mrs. Victoria Benite and his son, Emmanuel, have been docked at an Ejigbo  Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State. They were charged with illegal ejection of their  tenant, Mrs Peju Ademolagun.

Acting on his mother’s instruction, two of his friends, Abiodun Abas and Musibiba Owolabi  reportedly stormed the complainant’s apartment and removed her properties when she was  not around.

The incident happend at 13, King Solomon Street, Egan on the outskirts of Lagos State,  South West Nigeria.

The tenant claimed that while they evicted her, the intruders stole her properties worth  N138,000.

The items she claimed they stole include one Samsung handset, a digital camera and  N75,000 cash, all valued at N138,000.

When the four defendants pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspirary and  stealing.

The presiding magistrate, Mrs. S. O. Solebo granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 while  the landlady was released to the family members on health grounds.

The matter has been adjourned till 27 October, 2010 for hearing.
