The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has said it has perfected the strategy to sweep the  polls in the 2011 general elections in Lagos State.

The party which is keeping the plans under wraps, reiterated its readiness to oust the  ACN-led government in Lagos State, which it described as cosmetic and devoid of any  meaningful attempt to sincerely address the plight of the down-trodden.

Leader of the South-West caucus of the PDP in USA, and a governorship aspirant in Lagos  State, Barrister Owolabi Salis, remarked that the growing ranks of discontented people in  the ACN and the disunity that assails the party, are major areas of drawback that stands  to militate against the party, in the 2011 general election.

“This is quite unlike the PDP, where we have not only gathered our act together, but have  learnt from the past, and harnessed the lessons to positive advantage which are expected  to translate to victory at the polls next year,” said Salis.

He stated further that Lagos State, under a PDP administration, will successfully canvas  a special status for the state, as the commercial and industrial capital of Nigeria and  West Africa.

This, he said, would attract for the state, a special grant which would be deployed to  the accelerated growth of the state.

He said the present ACN administration of the state had, for long, toyed with the destiny  of Lagosians, through its confrontational posture with the federal authority.

He, therefore, urged them to boot out the ACN at the polls next year, as Lagosians are  losing out in terms of several billions of naira, which could have accrued into its  coffers annually, under a PDP administration, or a cooperative government which places  the interest of the people at heart.
