It was celebration galore when the 45 Community Development Associations (CDAs) under Ibogun Area Community Development Committee were presented with certificate of recognition by both Ogun State and Ifo Local governments recently.
The occasion was attended by all the community leaders, state and local government representatives as well as traditional rulers.
The Onibogun of Ibogunland was represented by Chief Musibau Balogun, while the Ifo Local Government chairman was represented by the councillor representing Ibogun, Mr. Gab Adenle.
Speaking at the occasion, the Bobadara of Ibogunland, Otunba Kehinde Adeosun, enjoined all the community development associations to work in unity and harmony, while promising to use his position as an estate agent and surveyor to bring rapid development to the area.
While commenting on the hardship the people of Ibogun are going through, the secretary to the Elders’ Forum, Chief R.O. Adetoyinbo (JP), blamed it on the police, who he accused of collecting N100 from commercial motorcycle operators popularly called okada riders, at each road block in the area.
