As the race for the 2011 elections gather momentum, an aspirant for the Lagos Island I  Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Prince Hakeem Agboola- Masha has  pledged to ensure that the people in the constituency are carried along in the effective  governance of the area if he is elected as their representative in the Lagos Assembly  next year.

Masha is aspiring for the Lagos Island I Constituency in the LSHA on the platform of  Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN.

Declaring his intention recently, Masha said the people of the constituency had been  clamouring for better representation and that he was ready to fulfill those yearnings  with a difference.

According to him, it is  time  for the people of the constituency to benefit from the  dividends of  democracy, adding that his belief was to always put the people first. He  added that his sole aim is to accelerate the progress and development of Lagos Island  Constituency I and the state in general.

“As an advocate of taking Lagos Island and Lagos State in particular to the next level, I  believe that I have the intellectual capacity and possess the requisite experience to  lead my people to greater heights,” he said.

The aspirant opined that generational change in  leadership is what the people of Lagos  and Nigeria need at this stage.

On the forthcoming voter registration exercise, Masha urged party faithful to ensure that  no one is left out of the exercise which would hold between 1 and 14 November, 2010.

He reminded the people that the license to vote remains their voter cards, adding that  party leaders from wards, local governments and district levels were duty bound to ensure  that no party man and woman were left out of the exercise.

The aspirant pointed out that it was the duty of the leadership and followership to  ensure that the exercise was taken very seriously as it remains the pathway to the  expected electoral victory of the party in next year’s polls.
