Chairman of Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State, Dr. Rasaq Oyesegun Folami, has applauded Nigerian Breweries Plc, for its donation of 50 cartons of Star lager beer to the local government as part of activities to commemorate Nigeria’s 50th Independence anniversary.
Speaking while formally taking delivery of the gift, the chairman also commended the special commemorative labels on the bottles, saying it gives the product a distinct look.
“We are grateful to Nigerian Breweries Plc for choosing Surulere as one of the local governments the company has considered for the donation. Nigerian Breweries is a very good corporate citizen of this local government and has been cooperative in terms of corporate social responsibility,†he noted, adding that the company is currently rehabilitating one of the schools in the local government and “we have a lot of areas which we could partner with it in order to enhance the lives of our people.â€
