Five young basketball players have been awarded scholarships at the 2010 edition of the Masai Ujiri-organised Milo Top 50 Camp in Lagos.
The five outstanding players were selected from the 20 identified all-star players who emerged from the special group of 63 top rated players who took part in the recently concluded Milo Secondary Schools’ Basketball Championship.
The annual Milo/NBA Top 50 Basketball Camp organised by Masai Ujiri and sponsored by Nestle Milo was held at the National Stadium Lagos. This year’s camp featured no fewer than two foreign and 15 local coaches. Amadou Gallo Fall, Vice President, National Basketball Association (NBA) Africa who was present at the closing ceremony of the camp said, “there are a lot of young men in Nigeria that hardly get the chance to fulfill their basketball dreams.â€
According to him, “it’s a great pleasure to be involved in the yearly exercise that helps to develop young basketball players and keep their dreams alive.
