Ojokoro LCDA Observes World Disaster Reduction Day

This year’s world disaster reduction day celebration was yesterday observed by the Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.

The event took place at the council secretariat, Agbado Station road, Ijaiye Ojokoro, Lagos.

Chairman, Ojokoro LCDA, Hon. Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo, described the event as a demonstration of Lagos State government’s policy of providing proactive measures and create public awareness at the local government level, as well as sensitise residents on precautionary measures to avoid unnecessary loss of lives and properties during disasters.

Chief Olabinjo appealed to all to make environmental safety their watchword by not engaging in activities that could endanger their lives, like phoning while driving, drinking while driving and blocking of drainages.
