An upcoming comedian, Adewale Babatunde Joseph a.k.a. Eteye, Gbenga Adeyinka and other acts will set Ojodu-based Genesis Hall aglow on 5 December, 2010, as he puts together Festival of Lafta, Season 111.
The Yaba College of Technology Business Administration student and Osun State-born Joseph is a gospel comedian. He said he was called by God to make people laugh and relax their souls, insisting that he will only use his God-given talent to propagate His work.
The self-styled laughter evangelist, who became a professional comedian three years ago, promised that this year’s edition will be more attractive than the last two, owing to the calibre of big acts such as Gbenga Adeyinka 1st, Sheyi Law, Lepacious Bose, Elenu and others, billed to perform.
He lamented, however, that upcoming comedians do not get enough support from the society, adding that Nigerians always go for established comedians, whereas many upcoming acts are very good.
