Chief Dele Momodu, publisher, Ovation Magazine has said that he would floor  President Goodluck Jonathan in a free and fair poll come next year.

Speaking in Lagos yesterday at a world press conference to flag off his presidential campaign, Momodu said that Jonathan is not a formidable candidate among the contestants in the presidential elections. He added that it will be a struggle for the president to pick his People’s Democratic Party, PDP, ticket, given the combination of candidates contesting with him.

“Jonathan and I come from the same South-South region. I’m sure that in Bayelsa State, he can’t defeat me in an election that is free and fair. I’m sure, if we have a free and transparent election, Jonathan can not beat me in Rivers State,” Momodu boasted.

According to the publisher, Jonathan belongs to what he described as ‘Analogue people’. He stated that while he would not really want to reduce the next election to that of personalities, rather, he was more interested about programmes adding that the President belongs to a party that refused to change and focus on people-oriented programmes.

“What has PDP done for the people of this country in the last 12 years? PDP as a party cannot change. A party where its legislators in the National Assembly can ask for atrocious payment as salaries, that the US President Barrack Obama cannot earn. Such party should not enjoy the people’s votes again,” he said.

“I am a game changer because a lot of people are underrating me. I have not been tried and tested. Some people will ask where am I coming from? But  I will tell them not to write me off yet as we are coming vigorously in the next election,” he said.

Momodu, who is eyeing the presidency on the platform of the Labour Party, said he would unfold his plans and manifesto immediately he picked his party’s ticket.
