The Vice President of O’odua Peoples Congress, OPC, Otunba Kazeem Badmus, has  commended both the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole and  the Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel over the negotiation of a truce  between the two leaders.

According to Badmus, “I am so happy to learn  about the peace meeting held by the  two Yoruba leaders, and I feel it’s time that should happen, because that is what we  expect from our Yoruba leaders: to cooperate and speak with one voice. When I learnt  of the meeting held in Abuja, recently, I was so glad and I believe it is the  beginning of better things in the state. Settling the rancour that has pervaded Ogun  State in the past is a welcome development,” he said.

The Yoruba leader also condemned the bombing of Abuja during the celebration of  Nigeria’s 50th independence and lambasted the bombers. He asked: “Who are they  threatening? What do they want and what do they hope to achieve?”
