ICPC Charges Nigerians On Corruption

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has  called on all Nigerians to join hands with the commission to fight corruption in the  country.

Mr. John Okor Odey of the Public Enlightenment Department of the Commission, made  the call at the pre-launch conference of the agencyâ€s National Anti-Corruption  Volunteer Corps (NAVC), held at its Ikoyi office of the agency recently.

He said the agency established the corps as a community-based arm of the agency to  help in enlightening the mass at the grassroots.

“ICPC gave birth to NAVC out of the agency’s desire to create an all-encompassing  platform that belongs to the people in fight against corruption.

“Before now, people see the fight against corruption as exclusive to those in  government, that is, the anti-graft agencies, but Justice Emmanuel Ayoola, chairman  of ICPC, thought of creating a platform to enable everybody to participate in the  war against corruption,” he explained.
