Coalition Moves Against IBB

A non-government organisation, Anti-Babangida Coalition (ABC), has called on Nigerians with good conscience not to work for General Ibrahim Babangida (retd.) during the forthcoming general elections.

The coalition described IBB’s decision to contest next year’s presidential election as an insult and an assault on ”our collective integrity as a nation.”

Speaking at a press briefing held at the International Press Centre, Ogba, Lagos, to sensitise Nigerians on the dangers of allowing IBB to rule the country again, the Coordinator of ABC, Comrade Shina Odugbemi, warned that the former military president should not be allowed to ruin and inflict more injuries on Nigerians.

”Our task and mandate is to stop IBB and other anti-progressive elements from ruling Nigeria again. The truth of the matter is that we are looking at IBB as a personification of the ruins of this country. When we say IBB, we mean IBB and his likes that are coming without any programme for the masses, those who have looted this country, we do not need them.

“We are now calling on men, women, children, old and young, farmers, artisans, pesants, hunters and civil servants, not to sell their votes for dubious politicians like him and his likes,” he stated.
