A man, Ademola Akinyele, 40 has been arrested and charged before the Isolo  Magistrate’s Court, Lagos for allegedly threatening to kill his mother, Alhaja  Yariala Akinyele, with an axe for refusing to sell their house.

Ademola was alleged to have taken an axe and threatened to kill her mom but she  escaped. The accused, it was learnt, damaged some properties in the process.

The incident occurred at 4, Bishop Aggrey Street, Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria, where his  mom lives.

The cause of the fight, P.M.NEWS gathered, was that Alhaja Akinyele refused to grant  the demand of Ademola for them to sell the family house.

Ademola had hoped the house would be sold and the proceeds shared, so that he could  use the money to set up a business.

But his mom turned down his request and told him that he was not the only child of  the family, adding that the house was a family house and if such decision must be  taken, other members of the family must be part of it.
