The first son of the late Chief MKO Abiola, Kola Abiola has lost his wife, Olayinka Jeroni. It was gathered that Olayinka Abiola (nee Williams) slumped and died in Los Angeles, California on the night of Saturday, 16 October.
She was on a vacation in the city with her husband and their three year old daughter.
Olayinka, who was in her mid-40s, was the daughter of Chief (Mrs.) Bose Onilere, the late prominent businesswoman. She was the second wife of Kola Abiola, with the first being Victoria Arafat.
The death of Olayinka is coming barely three years after that of her first daughter, Omolabake Surulat. The 17-year old girl died on 11 November, 2007 in London, where she was undergoing her A-Levels programme.
Sadly too, in November 2008, Olayinka lost her brother, Ladi Williams to death.
These two sad incidents were reported to have caused some strain on Olayinka’s health. She is survived by two sisters-Motunde and Tosin. Her remains will be laid to rest in London this Saturday.
A source within Abiola’s family confirmed the death of Yinka.
