The Chairman of Yaba Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West  Nigeria, Mr. Olajide Jimoh, has appealed to doctors who are currently on strike in  Lagos State to resume work as a matter of urgency, to save the lives of patients,  especially pregnant women and children, who are dying in the hospitals.

He made the appeal while donating an ambulance to Harvey Road Health Centre, Yaba,  last week.

According to him, “it is unfortunately that doctors are on strike and patients are  dying in the hospitals. This is the time for the state government and the resident  doctors to dialogue and find a lasting solution to the problem.”

On the donation of the ambulance, Jimoh said it was to assist the health centre in  times of emergency.
