Swimming: Ebosie Tourney Lights Up Balogun Stadium

The 6th Dr. EIP Ebosie Memorial Swimming Championship, which gets underway at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria has brought back life into the stadium complex.

The tourney, which begins today will be rounded off tomorrow with the chairman, National Sports Commission, NSC, Ibrahim Bio gracing the ocassion.

Captain Sam Phil-Ebosie, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ebosie Foundation said “the orgainsers invited the Minister of Sports to grace the event for him to see the potential the country has in swimming.”

The two-day event, which is the biggest developmental tournament in the calendar of the Nigeria Swimming Federation, features at least 80 schools drawn from 24 states across the country.
