The former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other dignitaries have showered accolades on Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu at his 75th birthday bash, especially over his service to humanity.
At the event which took place at Eko Hotel & Suites weekend, Tinubu described Adebutu as a great philanthropist: “Sir Kesington Adebutu is a generous and hardworking man who has complete devotion to humanity, the development of the people, and eliminating poverty.â€
Adebutu, who had earlier donated and commissioned a block of four classrooms to Methodist high school, Iperu-Remo, and a house to the Prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, Prelate Ola Makinde, was also described as the “father of generosity and charity†by other dignitaries.
The Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was also present at the event said, “Sir Adebutu is a philanthropist who has greatly supported Nigerians in educational aspect. It is due to this recognition that we have named one of our universities after him.â€
Also present at the event were the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN); the Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona; the Alake of Egba land, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Dimeji Bankole and other dignitaries.
