Two men, Akeem Okanlawon, 35 and Timothy Sheye Alabi, 28, have been charged with armed robbery before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, Nigeria.
In a two-count charge of felony and robbery, the police alleged that the accused persons and others at large while armed with broken bottles, sticks and other dangerous weapons did rob one Salisu Garuba of N150,000.
The offence, according to the prosecutor, is punishable under Section 1 (2) (a) (b) of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provision) Act, Cap.398, Vol. XXII.
There pleas were not taken because they are on holden charge.
The trial magistrate, Mrs. Adedayo adjourned the case
