Fashola Condoles With Fayemi Over Death Of Ekiti Deputy Speaker
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), on Thursday commiserated with his Ekiti State counterpart, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, over the passing on of the State’s Deputy Speaker, Hon. Saliu Adeoti, describing the death as shocking.
Reacting to the news of the death of the Deputy Speaker who passed on at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, on Wednesday, Governor Fashola said it was painful to lose such a vibrant member of the Ekiti State Government and the Action Congress of Nigeria especially at this time the party was consolidating its victory in Ekiti State and the Southwest.
“A loyal party man and distinguished lawmaker, the contributions of Hon. Adeoti to the development of legislation in Ekiti State and especially the central role he played during the principled insistence of our great party, the Action Congress of Nigeria, on the restoration of the popular mandate of the people, have earned him a cherished place in the hearts of many within and outside the Stateâ€, the governor said.
While expressing his condolences to the governor, his deputy, the Honourable Speaker and members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Governor Fashola prayed that the Almighty Allah would admit the soul of the deceased into Aljanah Firdaus and endow the family he left behind with fortitude to bear the loss.
