Pillars Begin Title Defence
Nigeria’s NBBF/DSTV Premier League champions, Kano Pillars Basketball Club of Kano, will this evening begin their defence of the FIBA-Africa Zone-3 title they won last year in Benin Republic when they square-up against Liberia’s Premier League runners-up, NPA Pythons by 4p.m. Liberian time.
Cote d’Ivoire league champions, Abidjan Basketball Club will take on Swallows Basketball Club of Lome, Togo in the day’s second match at 6p.m. Liberian time.
Kano Pillars have vowed to defend their title. Head coach of the team, Sani Ahmed said their target is not only to pick one of the two continental tickets available for the zone but defend their title.
He noted that they will take each match one after the other.
