NFF Officials Hit South Africa

Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, vice chairman Mike Umeh and Appeals Committee member, Sulaiman Kwande will leave for South Africa tomorrow as members of the body’s delegation to cheer the Super Falcons at the ongoing CAF African Women’s Championships, AWC.

The Chairman of the NFF’s Technical Committee, Barrister Christopher Green said both men would be in South Africa today.

“I was supposed to be in South Africa with the girls but was prevented by my busy schedule.

“But, Umeh and Kwande will represent the federation in South Africa. and we are pleased with the girls and will support them in any way we can,” he said.

The Super Falcons thrashed Mali 5-0 in their opening game in Sinaba on Monday and will now face the highly fancied Banyana Banyana of South Africa tomorrow.

A victory for the Falcons over Augustine Makalakalane’s girls will automatically secure qualification for Nigeria.
