The newly appointed General Manager, Public Affairs of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Micheal Kayode Ajayi, has assumed duty.
Ajayi, a native of Mopa in Mopamuro Local Government Area of Kogi State, is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Philosophy (combined Honours). He also obtained a MSc. in Political Science (Pubic Admin.) from the same university.
The new image maker attended the University of Calabar where he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Diploma in Computer Studies from the University of Ife.
Ajayi started his career with the Kwara State Ministry of Education as an Education Officer II and was later seconded to the Directorate of Social Moblisation (MAMSER) Kwara State where he rose to head the Political Education Department.
A seasoned administrator, Ajayi had a brief stint with the Kwara Industrial Trust Fund Limited, Ilorin as Manager, and left the company in 1993 as Branch Manager of Kogi State Branch.
